Jean Paul Marachi, M.D.
Dr. Marachi, MD is a board certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who has been serving families in Connecticut for more than 30 years.
He is an Associate Clinical Professor at the Yale Child Study Center and has mentored countless trainees across many disciplines. Dr. Marachi feels that clinicians need to work in partnership in order to best support families and help children live with dignity and reach their highest potential.
He graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine. He has served as the Medical Director of the Bridgeport Child Guidance Center and was the President of the Ct. Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Marachi also served on the Executive Committee of the CT Psychiatry Society.
More than 20 years ago, Dr. Marachi collaborated with pediatricians at the Yale Child Study Center to develop Collaborative Office Rounds (COR), which is a weekly meeting where multi-disciplinary professionals come together to discuss cases related to children's behavior and development. COR not only continues to this day but has grown and been replicated.
Dr. Marachi lectures psychiatrists, pediatricians, social workers, psychologists and others on a wide range of topics with particular expertise in pediatric psychopharmacology.
